Andrea and Adam – Sooke Prestige Oceanfront Resort Wedding

by Nichole Taylor Photography in Victoria BC

I’d like to introduce you to Andrea and Adam.  They were married in Sooke, and I was lucky enough to be their wedding photographer.  I mentioned to them after the ceremony that they seemed genuinely so excited to be married.  Sometimes that can get lost in wedding day rushes and stresses, but they were really present and experiencing every moment.  Everyone could feel it.

The wedding took place at the Sooke Prestige Oceanfront Resort

I started with the groom and groomsmen getting ready.  My favourite part of this was the manual used.  Adam, I think you mastered the art of manliness.

I then joined the ladies.  The mood was light and the laughs and smiles were abundant! bride getting ready bridesmaids sooke bc victoria wedding photographer

Congratulations to you both!  Let’s hear some words from the bride and groom:

Besides getting married –‐ what was your favourite thing about your wedding day?

Being surrounded by our family and friends, it was amazing having everyone together all in the same place at the same time. The majority of our family and friends had to travel to be at our wedding, and it meant so much to us that they did!

What inspired your décor or theme?

We wanted the décor to be elegant but also simple. We also found that purple coloured flowers were most in season for August, so we went with purple as our main colour for the colour scheme, and had everything else tie in.

What’s one thing you wish you would have known earlier in regards to planning?

Be sure to schedule your first bridal dress alternation appointment well in advance just in case multiple alterations/fittings are needed!
